Last weekend in Maryland my Nikon D800E got soaked on a hike to the falls. In all my years shooting I've been careful with water but this week took the cake. The shot below is a Sony NEX-7, splashed with wake water and mist off he back of a Bermuda ferry. The day before I was chest deep in the ocean getting nice shots of rocks rising out of the water offshore when wham, a wave nailed me. While I got the full treatment, somehow holding the camera high saved it from the full drenching. I dodged a bullet for sure.
